That’s the opinion of Croatia manager Zlatko Dalic.
Kovacic made 36 appearances for European champions Kovacic last season although many of those came from the bench with Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro among those ahead of him in the pecking order in the Spanish capital.
And as a sweetener for Thibaut Courtois’ £35million move from Chelsea to Real Madrid, Kovacic was sent on loan to Stamford Bridge for the current campaig

Trump says Arabs can fund UNRWA on US terms: Report

President Donald Trump, along with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi , places his hands on a glowing orb during inauguration of a center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia May 21, 2017. After cutting money to the UN refugee agency helping Palestinians, the United States now says Persian Gulf Arab states can plug the gap provided that they meet the new guidelines set out by the Trump administration.
According to Israel's Channel Two, American officials have informed Israel that any further funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) would be on US terms.
The US announced on Friday that it will no longer support UNRWA, saying the agency needed to make unspecified reforms as it called on Palestinians to renew "peace" talks with Israel.
Channel Two said that US officials have allegedly allowed Persian Gulf states to fund UNWRA projects in the short term, but the ultimate plan is to close down the agency once and for all.
"US approval for funding would include any future sponsors to UNWRA committing to redefining the status of the agency, as well as the definition of Palestinian refugees, with the ultimate aim of eventually closing down the agency," it said
It is not yet clear which Persian Gulf states have received the green light to partly compensate for UNRWA's budget deficit of $217 million, which has deepened a cash crisis at the agency in the wake of President Donald Trump's decision.
UNRWA supports more than five million Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, providing healthcare, education and social services.
Most are descendants of the roughly 700,000 Palestinians who were driven out of their homes or fled a 1948 war that led to Israel's creation.
Palestinian refugees have reacted with anger to the US decision, warning that it would lead to more instability in the Middle East.
Independent observers say the US decision is in line with implementing the Israeli agenda to unilaterally take the Palestinian right of return off the table.
To Palestinians, the right of return is central to their cause and they see the US decision as a new policy shift aimed at undermining it.
Trump had already angered Palestinians by his December recognition of the disputed city of Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel's "capital" and axing more than $200 million in bilateral aid for Gaza and the West Bank.
Founded in 1948, UNWRA was established to deal with the mass displacement of Palestinians to Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt following the establishment of the Israeli regime.
Since then, the descendants of those Palestinians who continue to be displaced have benefited from several UNRWA initiatives, including educational facilities.
According to UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness, the agency provides health clinics, schooling for 526,000 refugee children and food assistance to 1.7 million people - a million of them in Gaza.
The Washington Post cited officials familiar with the decision as saying that the US redefinition of Palestinian refugees would reduce the current five million figure to fewer than a tenth of that number because it would exclude the descendants.
Israel has warmly welcomed the decision, with Transport Minister Yisrael Katz saying "the American decision is full support for Israel's position, which completely rejects the right of return for the Palestinians."

Ghost ship reappears 9 years after it was lost

Ghost ship reappears mysteriously

A ship that was lost in 2009 in the Pacific Ocean mysteriously reappeared in the Indian Ocean last week. People are calling it a ghost ship. An immediate explanation has been forwarded but that seems to be an attempt to quell wild speculations.
The container was last seen off Taiwan coast in 2009. When it was last spotted, the ship was flying the Indonesian flag. It sailed from Taiwan but all contacts with the ship were lost nine years ago. The authorities in the littoral countries believed that the ship was lost to the vast ocean.
But, the ship named, Sam Ratulangi PB 1600, suddenly reappeared south of Myanmar in the Indian Ocean on August 30. It was spotted by some fishermen from a Myanmarese village called, Thama Seitta. The fishermen saw the ship aground at a sandbar some 11 km off the coast.
The fishermen entered the ghost ship but found none aboard. The ship was empty. They informed the coastal police. The Myanmar Navy was informed. The officials inspected the ship and had no clue where this ship came from.
"No crew or cargo was found on the ship. It was quite puzzling how such a big ship turned up in our waters," the Myanmar Times quoted U Ne Win Yangon, a Myanmarese MP, as saying.
The paper also quoted general secretary of the Independent Federation of Myanmar Seafarers, U Aung Kyaw Linn as saying that the vessel was still in running condition. Linn said, "In my opinion, the ship was recently abandoned. There must be a reason (why it was abandoned)."
Reports say that the ghost ship is 177.35 metre-long and 27.91 metre-wide. The container weighs 26,510 tons and was built in 2001.

Some other reports from Myanmar say that the mysterious appearance of the ghost ship has been solved. These reports claim that the ship was meant to be dismantled at a ship-wreaking factory at Chittagong port in Bangladesh. The ship got detached from the ship-wreaking factory and drifted towards Myanmar.
However, there has been no explanation as to how this ship that last spotted in 2009 off Taiwan coast ended up at a Chittagong ship-wreaking factory. Mystery about the ghost ship remains unanswered.
Interestingly, many unexpected boats and vessels have been found in Asian waters. Some of them were found without anyone aboard while a few others had corpse when these boats were discovered. In 2015, 11 wooden boats were spotted in the Sea of Japan. Some of the boats were empty and damaged, while some others had dead bodies numbering up to 20.

Disappointing' and 'profoundly gutting' as twelve people killed on NZ's road last week alone

New Zealand police says it’s "disappointing" that 12 people were killed on our roads last week, and that it's "profoundly gutting" for the families of those killed.
Last week 12 people were killed in 11 crashes, with six killed on Wednesday alone.
Superintendent Steve Greally says despite the enormity of what families are going through, drivers need to change their behaviour behind the wheel.
"This is simple stuff; putting your belt on, that's not hard, making sure you're not drunk, that's easy, staying off the cell phone."
He says if people keep their eyes on the road, and stick to the speed limit, it will go a long way to "keeping people alive in this country".
Brent Johnson from the Ministry of Transport says last week's accidents are a tragedy and road safety is a priority.
"We are currently leading the development of a comprehensive, new road safety strategy to address the unacceptably high number of people that are being killed or injured on our roads", he says.
The ministry says the Government Policy Statement announced on Friday identifies "safety as a key priority" and supports investment in safety improvements. across high risk state highways and local roads.
Police are encouraging all motorists to think about their driving and improve where they can.
